About Us
Meet Hayley & Claire

Claire & Hayley’s work begins with themselves. Their deep commitment to personal growth, introspection, and alignment has shaped the way they show up in the world—and in their relationship with each other. Together, they bring a balanced perspective on what it truly means to be a spiritual human in a world that often pulls us away from ourselves. Grounded in personal accountability and transformation, their work is about holding space for realignment, self-discovery, and living with intention. Get to know more about each of them below.
Meet Hayley

Dr. Hayley Dickinson—scientist, deep feeler, and lifelong experimenter.
My personal journey through chronic illness reshaped everything I thought I knew about health and healing. With a PhD on the effects of stress during pregnancy, I spent over 15 years immersed in scientific research and nutrition, leading a lab, publishing widely, and mentoring the next generation of researchers. From the outside, I was thriving. Internally, I was unraveling.
An invitation to work within the pharmaceutical industry forced me to confront a growing misalignment with my values—but it was also more than that. I was beginning to sense that there was more to health than just treating symptoms. True healing requires deep connection, an acknowledgment of the person beyond their diagnosis, and a respect for the full complexity of their journey. This kind of understanding simply wasn’t written into the design of these organisations.
At the same time, my own anxiety, exhaustion, and hormonal imbalances, left me searching for answers that I simply couldn't find. It was in stepping outside what I 'knew', and embracing 'alternative' healthcare offerings, that I began to find myself again.
Leaving academia, I became Scientific Advisor for Endota Spa, witnessing first-hand the gap between controlled scientific research and the complexities of real life. I knew that our knowledge of women’s health lags decades behind because research has failed to prioritise it, but within this environment I saw the devastating consequences first hand.
Determined to do things differently, I founded Eat for You, Australia’s first nutrient-tested food company, committed to transparency and integrity. But when market forces made it unsustainable, I knew my work wasn’t done—I just needed to zoom out and take a more holistic approach. Eat for You evolved. What began as a food company committed to nutritional transparency has now pivoted into food testing and accreditation—helping brands and producers prove the quality and integrity of their food. Because what’s in our food matters. The mission has stayed the same—to raise the standard of what we eat and challenge the gaps in our food system. But instead of making my own products, I’m now helping others test and verify theirs, ensuring nutrient density, safety, and transparency.
Personally, I've stripped life back to its essentials, living in a tiny home on land, homeschooling my daughter, spending most of my time barefoot, and chasing the sun like it’s my reason for being. I believe the simplest things—morning light, deep connection, slowing down—make the biggest difference.
At The Art & Science of Being Human, I bring scientific rigor, deep curiosity, and lived experience to everything we do. This isn’t about telling you what to do—it’s about helping you experiment, track, and trust your own experience.

Meet Claire

I’ve spent years exploring the human psyche, driven by a natural passion and curiosity that have shaped the framework I now use as a holistic counsellor.
Like all of us, I’m on my own journey of growth and transformation, constantly deepening my understanding of how mind, body, and spirit intersect. My work is built on the understanding that true healing happens when we embrace all aspects of ourselves—our experiences, emotions, and inner wisdom.
I once owned and ran a holistic wellness centre, giving me the opportunity to dive deep into healing practices that support the whole person. I also spent time teaching transformational yoga and became a self-published author of Raw Transformation, a book that challenges the unrealistic perfection we’re so often presented with.
More than a memoir, Raw Transformation is an invitation into self-inquiry—a blend of personal storytelling, journal reflections, and deep psychological exploration. Through honest recounts and unfiltered truth, I offer a mirror for others to see themselves more clearly—to confront their own power, vulnerability, and innate wholeness.
This same philosophy underpins my work today. I guide people through self-reclamation, emotional healing, and identity shifts, helping them move through change with a deeper sense of integration and resilience.
At heart, I’m a free spirit, guided by the rhythms of nature and the seasons. My family and I move between homes along the Australian coast and abroad, drawn by the changing tides of life. We’ve built our homes—literally, with our own hands—using recycled materials, creating beautiful, affordable spaces that honour sustainability and simplicity.
Why We Do This Work
The Art & Science of Being Human exists because we believe alignment is possible for everyone—but it doesn’t come from following someone else’s rules.
It comes from understanding yourself deeply, challenging what doesn’t serve you, and creating a life that feels true to you.
This is what we guide people through—not a formula, but a process of self-discovery, curiosity, and transformation.
We’re here to walk alongside you as you step into the fullest, truest version of yourself.
